Google introduces Dark Mode for Google Chat on Android and iOS
Technology giant Google has introduced Dark Mode for Google Chat. The Dark Mode is available for both Android and iOS running devices. Dark Mode is a popular feature that creates a better viewing experience in low-light conditions by reducing brightness. In a blog post, Google said that the feature will be available to all G Suite customers. There is no need for separate settings to enable Dark Mode on Google Chat. As per the blog, the feature will automatically be turned On using the phone’s settings. Initially available to select users, the feature will be rolled out gradually to all users in the coming days. In other news, Google is planning to add Messenger Chat heads-like feature to its Google App. According to a 9to5Google report, the latest beta build of Google app contains the codes for chat head. To recall, the company has already showcased the new Bubbles feature that will maximize the multi-tasking capabilities of the operating system with the Android 11 Beta preview release. According to the APK insight provided by 9to5Google report, version 11.12 of the Google app contains two new strings of codes. One string is for Chat head tutorial that reads ‘Tap to talk to your Assistant, Drag to move or dismiss’ and the second string is for Chat head dismiss area where users will drag the Chat head to remove it from the home screen, similar to what we do with the Facebook Messenger Chat head feature.
