LG Velvet 4G with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC launched in Europe: Price, availability and more

Back in May, South Korean consumer electronics giant LG launched its LG Velvet smartphone which was 5G-ready thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor that powers it. Now, almost 2 months after that, the company has launched a 4G variant of the device and has chosen the flagship Qualcomm processor of 2018 — Snapdragon 845 SoC — to power it. The handset has been listed on LG Germany’s website at 499 euros (approximately Rs 43,000), which is 151 euros less than the 5G variant that was launched in May. Other than the chipset, the handset is identical to its 5G variant. As of now, there is no word on the India launch of the LG Velvet. LG Velvet specsRunning on Android 10 out of the box, the LG Velvet smartphone offers a display of 6.8-inch FHD+ pOLED screen of 2460x1080p resolution with 20.5:9 aspect ratio. On the storage front, the device offers 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. For those who want more, they can install a microSD card of up to 2TB. For imaging duties, the LG Velvet has a triple-camera setup on the back. The primary camera is a 48MP sensor (f/1.8 aperture), an 8MP wide angle camera (f/2.2 aperture), 5MP depth camera (f/2.4 aperture). On the front, users get a 16MP (ff/1.9 aperture) sensor. Backed by a 4300mAh battery, the LG Velvet comes with Quick Charge 3 support. Measuring 167.08 x 74.0 x 7.85 mm and weighing 180 grams, the smartphone offers a fingerprint sensor, proximity sensor, gyro sensor, barometer, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass.
