Realme 6i with MediaTek Helio G90T processor, 90Hz refresh rate to launch in India on July 24
BBK-owned smartphone brand Realme is set to expand its Realme 6 series smartphone with the launch of a new smartphone. The company’s India CEO Madhav Sheth has taken to Twitter to confirm that the Realme 6i is coming to India. The tweet revealed that the Realme 6i handset will be launched on July 24 in India at 12.30 pm. In his tweet, Sheth highlighted two key specifications of the upcoming smartphone. He said that the Realme 6i will boast of a MediaTek Helio G90T processor and will come equipped with a 90Hz refresh rate. #realme6series is known for #ProCameraProDisplay, now let’s welcome the “i” addition!#realme6i comes with… https://t.co/VQJnAblOTD— Madhav (@MadhavSheth1) 1595219445000To recall, the same handset was being teased by Flipkart last week, with a launch date July 14, however the launch seems to have been delayed by 10 days. Given the specs, it appears that the Realme 6i could be the rebranded version of the Realme 6s that was launched in Europe — along with Realme X3 SuperZoom — in May. That handset too offers a 90Hz refresh rate and comes powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio G90T processor. For those unaware, the Realme 6s was launched in a single storage variant of 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage at EUR 199 (approximately Rs 17,000). In his tweet, Sheth has also emphasised that the device will be one of the “very powerful mid-ranger, post-GST hike in industry,” therefore it remains to be seen how the company prices it in India. In other specs, the Realme 6s comes backed by a 4300mAh battery and houses a 6.5-inch LCD display of fullHD+ resolution. For camera duties, it has a quad-camera setup including a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle sensor, a 2MP mono sensor and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, there is a 16MP sensor.
